Analysis of Union County's Manufacturing Base

In 2016, the Monroe-Union County Economic Development Board of Advisors commissioned Wingate University’s Byrum School of Business to analyze the Commercial and Industrial Base of Union County, NC, to determine its overall impact on its residents. As a part of the study, a comparison of the residential tax base versus that of the commercial/industrial tax base emerged. This analysis has been presented throughout the Charlotte Region to aid in securing more industrial land and conserving commercial zoning for future non-residential development.
