More Than 750,000 Square Feet of Industrial Space Is Coming to Monroe!
The City of Monroe's Office of Economic Development announced that Edgewater Ventures has selected Monroe, North Carolina as the future home of Union Logistics Park, a 769,880 square-foot Class A industrial development planned for North Sutherland Avenue.
The first building, totaling 256,880 square feet, will break ground in May and is expected to deliver in the first quarter of 2027.
Union Logistics Park adds to Monroe's growing industrial profile within the Charlotte MSA and reflects the City's continued ability to attract and support quality investment. Monroe's City-owned gas, water, sewer, and electric utilities provide industrial users with the infrastructure certainty and capacity they need to commit, expand, and grow.
"Projects like Union Logistics Park demonstrate the strength of Monroe's industrial market and the value of our locally owned utility infrastructure," said Mark Watson, City Manager.
"We are proud to work alongside partners who see Monroe as a place where investment can grow and succeed," said Teresa Campo, Director of the Office of Economic Development.
For Edgewater Ventures, Monroe checked the right boxes.
"We've been on the hunt for great industrial sites in the Charlotte region and we're extremely excited to have landed this site in Monroe," said Chris Norvell, lead industrial development partner with Edgewater Ventures. "The site is super-efficient and has excellent access from the I-74 Bypass. There's also a strong existing tenant base in Monroe with a lack of Class A industrial product, and that has been a consistent formula of success for our projects."
